The Dude has a sweet bowling ball.

I recently enjoyed The Big Lebowski for the first time. Now, i know what your thinking, this is kind of like me saying i recently wiped my own ass for the first time or made my own bowl of captin’ crunch for the first time, but damn you can’t get down on a guy everytime he’s a little behind on his moving watching. So, i Netflixed TBL which really highlights the beauty of Netflix, i think I’m on my 20th movie this month. Picture a pack of wolves devouring a deer or a pregnate chick devouring a bowl of ice cream… That is me to Netflix. I think theres a mathematical formula in there somewhere.

Now, as tempted as I am to move this post towards discussing the concept that i just used the term “Netflixed” and how you completely understood what i meant by that, i wont. In honor of “The Dude” I’ll keep on topic. After all, The Dude has earn that, he is freakin’ awesome. The Dude is on par with blind men seeing and a Beatles reunion tour. His sexiness level is on par with that video of two Iraqi’s nailing a goat, its pretty nasty but you still find yourself forwarding it to every friend you know. And, I’m not gonna lie, if i found myself in a gang bang with him i would probably run my fingers through is ruffled goatee (on a side note: The goatee really could be noted as a metaphor for celebrity culture and my fingers are a metaphor for teenagers).

Now, this movie was probably the funniest movie I’ve seen in years that i wasn’t cracking up every minute to. It wasn’t Wedding Crashers funny and i don’t really even know that i can say it was Frasier funny either. I mean, how can you call a guy named “The Dude” who is ultimately trying to get a new rug from a fake-rich guy who is trying to get his hot wife killed whom’s step daughter thinks is lying who’s trying to pay The Dude to get the ransom money (Well.. something like that at least) smart humor. But, the humor wasn’t dumb, it maintained a witty intellectualness (if thats even a word) following a thick, well developed plot line about a rather silly theme. Over all it was pretty freakin’ great, which is the reason it has completely transcended its original place in movie history to be known as one of the greatest comedies of all time. And I’ll have to say i concur with this statement.
