My last blog digressed a little and brought me to the topic of Rob and Big – which is too good of a subject to not expand on. I just walked by Pacific Sunwear during lunch and saw a huge sign out side promoting a contest – “ENTER NOW TO WIN A CHANCE TO MEET ROB AND BIG”A year ago – people would have paid to not have to meet a big overgrown black guy and skinny ass white skater dude. A year later – with the help of MTV magic – kids squeal and drag their parents to instores for a chance to see the more then awkward duo. I mean the guy buys a PONY to LIVE WITH THEM in their condo. It dookies all over the floor and Rob cleans it up with a broom and only his socks on his feet. I mean huh? The intriguing nature behind it lays in the fact that we all wish we could be obscene in our lives. And due to responsibility and living what society says is a “normal” life – we vicariously live through a beyond quarky pro skater,  his herculean bodyguard and a pony….a dookie filled pony. And my favorite thus far – the pair played make believe for a day and created a 1980’s white rapper by the name of Bobby Light.

MTV does a great job at putting mind boggling, addicting (mind wishing, brain cell stomping) shows on the air that EVERYBODY seems to magically fall in love with. You read my blog about the Hills – well this swims up the same river. I hate to love it, but I love to hate it. Nobody will say it – but I will – I hate you MTV for not playing music videos for me anymore, and bringing Trisha from the Real World to light. But I do love you for making sure that when I watch you – You give me the best mind numbing, special ed drooling, brain cell dying entertainment ever! I love it.
