I recently was turned on to Tegan and Sara when I received a “greatest hits sampler” cd from their publishing company. Featuring the top songs from the past four years of Tegan and Sara hits, it demonstrated the duos unique ability to write quality (and qorky [sp?]) pop songs for a prolonged period of time. Needless to say I was instantly hooked (I didn’t even mention how ridiculously cute these girls are).

I strongly recommend checking out the new record The Con as I think you will be extremely impressed. Laced with one of the most catchy singles “Back In Your Head”, these girls write culturally relevant and honest lyrics that can be related to by just about everyone.
