In this day and age every band seems to expect success handed to them. Everyone seems to feel they are entitled to something and they deserve it now. This is the result of information and life moving at such rapid rates. A few success stories later and everything thinks it can happen to them. Its rare in this industry to come across a band thats actually willing to organically build a real fan base and do things the right way.

Enter Rookie of the Year. Their brand of acoustic pop has earned them a large following online translating into respectable itunes sales and a crowd of followers singing along at every show. Now, this particular write up isn’t so much about the bands music as it is about the band as people. Their willingness to work hard and pay their dues has earned them respect which will pay out ten fold in the long run. This is the kind of band that five years from now will look back on this and be thankful they built a career instead of a single.

With the bands new record hitting sometime over the next year via my friends at One Eleven Records, this band is ready to take it to the next level. Check their music out, add them as a friend - do whatever it is that you kids do. Enjoy some good acoustic rock and offer up a hard working band the respect they deserve.
