It has been a long time since I have been excited about a Saves The Day record, however the band is still one of my all time favorites. I suppose this is someone odd to say, but their older records were just amazing. The past few records (since In Reverie) have just been disappointing.

With that said, I have just checked out “Get Fucked Up”, the first track released from the bands coming full length in stores this fall via Vagrant Records and I am actually pretty excited. This is the first song that feels “real” from the band in a long time (don’t ask me what “real” means, it is just what comes to mind when I hear this). It is more in the vain of older Saves The Day stuff and shows potential for a great new record.
