Perez Hilton resembles one of those fashion no no’s that you wore in 8th grade and now think….oh shit…did I really look like that? I’m sure Jennifer Aniston feels the same way when she looks at Friends first season with her 80’s headbanger wave bangs. Anyway - point is Perez Hilton has become this almost pop star like icon for celebrity gossip. He’s a bittersweet media icon for me. Bitter of course for the fact that he’s a flamboyant blogger that knew how to make fun of celebrities really well. So well that he’s become a celebrity himself staring in TV shows and interviewing hot celebrities. (Ironic…I think so) On the other hand - Sweet because the internet geek in me loves the bridge that’s closing between the internet and traditional media. I love how a pink haired geek of a  blogger with no real talent then to make cynical remarks about celebrities, can create such a large buzz throughout media, that millions of web users check his day as much as they visit the el bano. So many - that Perez himself has surfaced to the forefront of traditional media with his face plastered on television shows. Oo Perez I bet a year ago when you were eating donuts on your coach blogging…you never thought this was going to happen.
