Foo Fighters new album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace is out now. On most occasions I wouldn’t really take the time to purchase a copy of this album. a) because I wasn’t THAT much of a FF fan, and these days for any consumer to pick up an album they must be a mega fun and b) to be honest I usually find a way to get my music for free.
With that said - I went to their sold out show last monday at The Henry Fonda Theater in Los Angeles. I mean - it was basically an amphitheater sell out band playing in a tiny independent venue. The house was packed with about 2,000 fans - mostly industry from the settle nods and crossed arms - but regardless you knew that everyone knew they were lucky to be there.
Dave and Chad fired up the place. Dave’s energy was still there after all these eons- and he seriously looked sexier then ever. I was pretty damn jealous about the gorgeous hair he grew out for himself. (He must use Tail and Mane..its the people/horse shampoo..its amazing yet weird…anyways) They played a mix of songs from their new album and from their olders albums. Of course they played Times Like These which is always fun when he starts it off acoustic then rocks it out of the park at the end. One of their newest songs is called Skin and Bones — reminds me of Nashville - I dug it. Their new album definitely seems like good vibes, good people type of music. Haven’t given the album a complete spin yet - but I can tell you the live show was amazing, which in my opinion speaks volumes about the album.
Check it. Patty

Skin and Bones is not on their new album. It was from the acoustic set they did last year.
