It really is pretty amusing the spectacle our political system has become. I don’t even know if there is an actual political race going on or if I am watching hit series “Will and Grace”, I am also not sure which is gayer. It makes me cringe every time I look up at the gym to the tv’s and see all the candidates lie and bullshit as much as they can to get people to like them. Its a pretty flawed process.

It’s kind of sad, because the concept of democracy is built around a perfect harmony of leadership from the people and extraordinary individuals, its very depressing that we have screwed it up. The saddest part is there is no solution, because the only solution to our flawed political system is change in the actual people involved, and that has become completely impossible. No kids strive to be a politician anymore, its just not glamorous. Every time you turn on the tv another political leader has molested someone, lied, cheated, stole. There is nothing appealing about being a political leader, it all just seems to be the most demoralized of industries and I am saying that as someone who lives in Los Angeles and works in the music industry.

Everyone on the TV is continuing to holler “we want change!” but I have yet to hear anyone say how that change will come. “Its for the kids!” they say with a diabolical shout, “its for our future!” What is for the kids? What is for the future? Someone answer me this question! I go to your websites and theres sections on stances, and you all are identical to everyone in the past 4 elections! I watch you on TV and you speak so well but never say any words! I am tired of this bullshit, tired of this drama, tired of the lies. I really do want change but it isn’t going to come from anyone running.

I am honestly considering boycotting the vote this election, and encouraging others to do so as well. I have yet to decide for sure if this is the most appropriate route, but as of now I refuse to vote just for the sake of doing so. “Have a voice!” the world shouts, “let your opinion be heard!”. Well my opinion is that if you cant produce a candidate that can actually lead this country, I wont participate, I will just sit back and watch as you eat yourself alive. The two major political parties have fought so hard to make sure they are the only two who really get a voice, but yet refuse to provide us with vocal options.

It really is downright pathetic. We are a spectacle and the entire world is watching, just waiting for the Armageddon ending.
